DESCRIPTION:"Dr. Death" to Talk About Plant Diseases Affectionately known as "Dr. Death"\, a.k.a Brian Hudelson\, will be presenting the topic "Wisconsin Garden Diseases" on October 23 at 7:00 pm via Zoom. In his talk\, Hudelson will discuss disease-causing organisms (fungi\, bacteria\, viruses\, phytoplasmas and nematodes) and the symptoms they cause. In addition\, he will provide information on environment factors that favor disease development. And focus on disease-like plant disorders that are caused by non-biological factors such as nutrient imbalances\, pesticide exposures\, environmental pollutants and adverse environmental conditions. Hudelson is the director of the UW-Madison Plant Disease Diagnostics Clinic (PDDC). The PDDC provides expertise in diagnosing plant disease problems\, and information on plant diseases and their control to a wide range of clientele throughout the state of Wisconsin and beyond.
